In January, Charlie Faruki and a partner from another law firm are jointly presenting a program in Intellectual Property Litigation, to one of our firm's corporate clients. That client is interested both in evaluating its patent and IP portfolio with an eye toward exploiting its patents and protecting its marks, and in having a greater level of knowledge on the part of the members of the litigation section in its legal department, not only about the applicable substantive law, but also about the necessary evaluations, tactics and strategy in considering litigation over intellectual property rights. This IP program is designed for an in-house legal department, and for an audience that includes attorneys with and without much substantive knowledge of the areas of IP law and practice.
