Tom Kraemer and Julie Zink have been coaching the University of Dayton School of Law Intellectual Property Moot Court Team in preparation for this month's Giles Sutherland Rich Memorial Moot Court Competition, presented annually by the American Intellectual Property Law Association.  The University of Dayton Team participated in the Regional Competition held in Houston, Texas, addressing a problem composed of patent and trade dress issues.

Jeff Ireland recently completed a six-year term as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Miami Valley Regional Transit Authority.  A frequent lecturer, Jeff taught a CLE Seminar entitled "Keys to Effective Expert Witness Examination in Ohio" on February 24 in Cincinnati.

Tim Pepper has expanded his service to the Dayton Society of Natural History.  A member of the Board of Trustees, Tim has been named to the Executive Committee of the Society, which owns and operates the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery and the Sunwatch Indian Village/Archaeological Park.  Tim also serves on the Society's Finance Committee.

Katie Wahl was appointed recently by the Tipp City Exempted Village School Board to the Tipp City Public Library Board of Trustees for a seven-year term, and was elected Secretary by the Board of Trustees.  This month she was elected to the Tippecanoe Historical Society Board of Trustees for a three-year term.  An honors graduate of Notre Dame Law School, Katie joined FI&C in 2003, and is a member of the Miami County Bar Association.

Brad Anderson was elected recently to a three-year term on the Board of Trustees of the United Way of Troy, Ohio, Inc.  A recent graduate of Leadership Troy, Brad interned with the United Way previously and has now stepped into a leadership position.

Katherine Early recently published an article in the Dayton Bar Briefs magazine, the monthly publication of the Dayton Bar Association.  A member of the Dayton Bar Association's Law and Technology Committee, Kate wrote an article entitled "Electronic Filing:  Highlights and Tips."  Kate's article is a helpful set of 18 tips for dealing with the new electronic docketing system and electronic case filing system introduced on September 1, 2003 in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
