In August, the Dayton Business Journal published its annual list "Dayton-Area Law Firms," ranked in size by number of local lawyers. FI&C is again the third-largest law firm in Dayton - although we have (and for years have had) the largest litigation practice in this area. No doubt this position is due to the fact that our litigation practice is nationwide.
On October 7, our firm is presenting a damages seminar for corporate counsel, at the Doubletree Hotel across from our offices. The seminar is entitled "Preparing, Presenting and Attacking a Damages Claim in Business Litigation," and has 6.0 hours of free CLE credit. The program's faculty includes a judge and a jury research firm member.
The firm is preparing for its fall recruiting process. The firm plans on-campus visits to the following campuses: Ohio State, Case Western Reserve, Notre Dame, University of Dayton, Indiana University - Bloomington, and the University of Michigan. If you are interested in applying at FI&C, then please send a resume and transcript to John Kendall, Faruki Ireland & Cox P.L.L., 500 Courthouse Plaza, S.W., 10 North Ludlow Street, Dayton, Ohio 45402, or you can e-mail those documents to him at jkendall@ficlaw.com.

In August, our firm opened our new employee workout room. As a benefit for employees, FI&C has taken additional space in our building and turned it into a complete workout facility for employees. The 2,200 square-foot set of rooms include a full range of exercise equipment (state-of-the-art aerobic equipment, Nautilus/strength machines, free weights, etc.).
