The Common Pleas Court of Shelby County accepted FI&C's argument that a forum-selection clause contained in purchase order contracts between the parties was enforceable against Plaintiff, and the Court dismissed Plaintiff's claims. The Court rejected Plaintiff's argument that the forum-selection clause was not part of the contract.

Only forty individuals annually from throughout Ohio are invited to become Fellows of the OSBF program, which originated in 1998. The mission of the OSBF is "to promote public understanding of the law and improvements in the justice system throughout Ohio." The 18-month program recognizes those attorneys who "have demonstrated professionalism and commitment to community service." Charlie Faruki was a member of the 2005 OSBF Fellows Class.
Charlie Faruki was one of the lawyers teaching a continuing legal education program for the Carl D. Kessler Inn of Court in Dayton.
The program title was, "Lawyers, Their Clients and The Media - No Comment or Spin Control?" The panel of four federal and state judges, three media representatives, and three lawyers dealt with the rules and principles concerning lawyers' media relations, to help the audience members understand the factors important to the questions of whether information should be shared with the media, how much, and in what form; and advice for handling the many issues arising when a client has become the focus of a media spotlight.

Jeff Sharkey has been named the 2007 Chairperson of the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce Volunteerism Committee.
The Committee nominates individual members of the Chamber for quarterly awards recognizing their volunteer efforts devoted to the Chamber. Jeff has been a member of the DACC Volunteerism Committee since 2004.
Andy Reitz was appointed as an Ambassador to Generation Dayton.
Generation Dayton is an organization that provides young professionals opportunities to develop skills, build relationships, and participate in community service projects. Andy previously served as an "At-Large Member" of Generation Dayton's Steering Committee.
At its Annual Meeting, the Board of Trustees of the Tipp City Public Library elected FI&C associate Katie Wahl as Secretary, a position she has held for the past three years.
Katie currently is in her fourth year of a seven year term on the Board of Trustees.
FI&C sponsored a presentation of the H.M.S. Pinafore at the Dayton Opera on January 26, 2007.
