Gillian joined FI&C in September 2010. She is a member of the Carl D. Kessler Inn of Court, and the American, Ohio, and Dayton Bar Associations. A member of the Dayton Bar Association’s Young Lawyer’s Division and its Diversity Issues Committee, Gillian is licensed to practice law before the Supreme Court of Ohio and the Southern District of Ohio. She is also a registered Domestic Relations Mediator in Indiana.
Gillian did her undergraduate work at Cornell University, where she received degrees in History and Sociology. While at Cornell, Gillian served on the boards of various university organizations and was responsible for programming for members of the Cornell community.
At Indiana University Maurer School of law, Gillian served as the Executive Competition Coordinator for the Sherman Minton Moot Court Board. She competed on the school's moot court and trial teams. She also served as president of the Black Law Student’s Association and the Director of Programming for the Midwest Region of the Black Law Student’s Association. During law school, Gillian worked as a legal intern at firms in Indiana and Kentucky, represented clients through many of the law school’s clinical programs, and served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate in Monroe County, Indiana.
Strongly believing in the importance of giving back to her community, Gillian volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters and is active with her church. She also participates in the Montgomery County Criminal Appointment Program and the Dayton Volunteer Lawyers Project.
