DECEMBER

  • FG&I recently extended several offers to law students for employment with the firm.
  • Last month Charlie Faruki spoke at the Ohio State Bar Association's annual Antitrust Institute, in Columbus.
 NOVEMBER
  • Charlie Faruki appointed to serve on the Southern District of Ohio Judges Outside Automation Evaluation Committee.
  • September issue of The Federal Lawyer, contains a book review by Charlie Faruki.
  • October 24, Charlie was one of two speakers at legal education seminar, "Litigating the Class Action Lawsuit in Ohio."
  • FG&I was represented in the U.S. Air Force Marathon run at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
  • FG&I partner and Dayton City Commissioner Mary Wiseman hosts a quarterly cable television program, "Both Sides Now." for the Miami Valley Cable Council.

OCTOBER

  • A judgment was entered last month in favor of FG&I's client for $10,844,593 plus interest, as a result of the defendant's patent infringement.
  • In celebration of its 25th anniversary, the University of Dayton Law Review invited reflective articles from three Universities.
  • Business Law Today, published an article by FG&I associate Ron Raether in its September/October 2000 issue.

SEPTEMBER

  • A committee appointed by the U.S. District Judges and chaired by Charlie Faruki, completed its work.
  • Ann Wightman was a panelist this month at the Ohio State Bar Association's CLE Institute.
  • FG&I began its 2000 fall attorney recruitment campaign this month.
  • Dayton Lawyer contained an article titled "Lawyers and Leaders," reporting on a scholarship endowed by Faruki Gilliam&Ireland P.L.L.
  • FG&I applies the results of a survey concerning the increasing costs of litigation and the effects of technology on the practice.

AUGUST

  • Jeff Cox and Tom Kraemer admitted as partners.
  • Four attorneys joined FG&I.
  • FG&I still looking for additional, top-flight lawyers.
  • Two partners honored for community involvement and pro bono work.
 JULY
  • Lengthy, complicated settlement concluded.
  • Mary Wiseman selected to be an at-large delegate from the state of Ohio to the Democratic National Convention.
  • Tom Kraemer led delegation on a goodwill trip to Oiso, Japan.
  • Ann Wightman selected for inclusion in Who's Who of American Women, Millennium Edition.

JUNE

  • Victory for Dayton Superior Corporation.
  • Jeff Ireland makes CLE presentation at the Ohio State Bar Association Annual Meeting.
  • FG&I participates in the May 10, 2000 Dayton, Inc. reception.

MAY

  • Private arbitration handled by FG&I recently became public when the losing party filed suit in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court.
  • FG&I featured in April 14, 2000, edition of Business News.

APRIL

  • Jeff Cox is honored.
  • New Millennium continues to bring news of FG&I victories.

MARCH

  • The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio grants summary judgment for FG&I client The Iams Company.
  • Jeff Ireland elected president of the Board of Trustees of Planned Parenthood.
  • Construction begins on FG&I's expanded offices.
  • Common Pleas Court grants summary judgment for FG&I client Osram Sylvania Inc.

FEBRUARY

  • Charlie Faruki authors book review.
  • Ann Wightman named to the Board of Trustees of the Greater Dayton Volunteer Lawyers Project.
  • FG&I's winning results continue in the new Millennium.
