Charlie Faruki and Jeff Sharkey won another case before the Ohio Supreme Court.
FI&C's record before that Court is 5-0. The Court affirmed an order by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio that set The Dayton Power and Light Company's rates through 2010. The victory was FI&C's fifth win (against no losses) before the Ohio Supreme Court, all within the last three years.
Charlie Faruki was a participant in a mock trial program in Columbus sponsored by the American Board of Trial Advocates, an invitation-only organization of lawyers with substantial jury trial experience, which Charlie is a member, which sponsored the continuing legal education program.
Many law firms send their associates to the program for training. The program, the Masters In Trial Program, takes the students through the trial of a case, from jury selection to verdict. Charlie handled the voir dire (jury selection) for the defendant. All of the faculty of program were members of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and some, like Charlie, are also Fellows of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
Charlie Faruki has been selected for inclusion in the 25th Anniversary Edition of The Best Lawyers in America, in the categories of Bet-The-Company Litigation, Commercial Litigation, Energy Law, and White-Collar Criminal Defense.
Charlie is one of a group of attorneys who have been listed in Best Lawyers for over 20 years. Selection to the Best Lawyer's list is based on an exhaustive and rigorous peer-review survey comprising more than two million confidential evaluations by the top attorneys in the country.
