On May 14, 2010, Jeff Ireland will be awarded the UD School of Law Alumni Association's Distinguished Alumni Award. The award is given each year to someone who has made significant contributions to the School of Law and who reflects the School's values of professional integrity and community service.

FI&C Associate Erin Rhinehart was recently appointed to serve on the Editorial Board and as the 2010-2011 Assistant Editor of the American Bar Association's The Young Lawyer (TYL). Erin was selected from a national applicant pool of nearly 350 lawyers who sought approximately 30 leadership positions and 30 committee positions.  TYL has a circulation of over 150,000 readers, and is the ABA Young Lawyers Division's practice-oriented publication which focuses on matters of interest for the new lawyer.  Erin will be responsible for recruiting authors, and evaluating and editing publication submissions from lawyers across the nation.

Also, as an ABA appointed leader, Erin will participate as an Ambassador of the ABA's Touch 10,000 Program.  Touch 10,000 is a member-to-member outreach program designed to connect ABA members with new bar admittees.

FI&C Associate Trey Pauley co-authored an article with Federal Magistrate Judge Michael Merz. The article, entitled "The Times They Are A'Changin' - With Apologies to Bob Dylan," discussed the recent amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
