In May Charlie Faruki was a speaker at the Annual Convention of the Ohio State Bar Association. The program was titled "Welcome to Federal Court: It's Different; an Introduction to Practice in Ohio's Federal Trial Courts." The program was sponsored by the OSBA's Federal Courts and Practice Committee, of which Charlie is the immediate past-chair. He was a speaker at the program, on the topics of "What to do if Your Case is Removed to Federal Court?" and "What to Expect in Federal Court: How Different is it?" He was also the moderator of a panel consisting of District Judges and Magistrate Judges from the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio, who discussed a wide array of topics ranging from jurisdiction and removal to case management, to discovery, to motion practice.
In April Charlie Faruki spoke to the Dayton Intellectual Property Law Association; he conducted a CLE program titled Recent Patent Litigation Developments. Topics included the evolving patent exhaustion doctrine, and patent misuse.
