Marc joined Faruki Ireland & Cox P.L.L. in 2007, after gaining significant experience litigating at a Cleveland-area firm. Over the course of his career, Marc has represented clients as a first chair trial attorney in jury trials, a bench trial, numerous evidentiary, motion, and fee hearings, as well as before the National Center for Dispute Settlement and American Arbitration Association. He has a handled a wide variety of cases for clients ranging from individuals to large companies, including the world's largest home improvement retailer, a power plant, a large city's construction authority, a truck component manufacturer, and two of the "Big Three" automotive companies. The types of cases he has defended include warranty matters; premises, products, and professional liability cases; wrongful death and catastrophic loss cases; and large, multi-jurisdictional litigation involving alleged molestation by California and Washington priests.
At FI&C, Marc's practice focuses on business and commercial litigation. He has handled matters dealing with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Stored Communications Act, the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, misappropriation of trade secrets, supplier and dealer relationships, as well as patent ownership. Marc is also an active participant in the Dayton Chapter of the Volunteer Lawyers Project, where he represents indigent clients on a pro bono basis. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Ohio Bar Association, the West Virginia Bar Association, the Dayton Bar Association, the New Lawyers Division of the Dayton Bar Association, and the Carl D. Kessler Inn of Court.
While in law school, Marc clerked for the Michigan Attorney General's High Tech Crime Unit, where he used his background in computer programming to assist in the prosecution of internet fraud and child pornography cases. He served as Articles Editor for the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review, Chairman of the Moot Court Board, and participated on two National Mock Trial teams. In recognition of his efforts, Marc was awarded the Leadership Achievement Award, the Distinguished Student Award, and the Krinock Memorial Award for Service.
Marc is a graduate of The United States Naval Academy with a degree in English. A former Marine Officer, Marc was awarded the Major General Edwin B. Wheeler Award after being selected by his peers as the lieutenant they would most want by their side in combat.
Marc is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of both Ohio and West Virginia.
Marc and his wife Amy have two children, Graycen and Dylan.
