Cori Stirling joined the firm as a full-time associate in August 2006, after graduation from law school. Cori's area of practice is complex commercial and business litigation.
Cori is involved in various legal organizations. As a member of the Dayton Bar Association, Cori is a member of the Young Lawyers Division, where she serves on the Continuing Legal Education Committee. She is also a member of the Diversity Committee of the Dayton Bar Association. In addition, Cori is a member of the Carl D. Kessler Inn of Court, the Ohio Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
Cori is also actively involved in the Dayton community. She is a legal advisor for the Dayton Early College Academy mock trial team. Cori also participates in the Lawyer in Every Classroom program, where she speaks with students at local schools regarding their personal development and future goals. Additionally, Cori regularly acts as a legal volunteer for various courses and extracurricular activities at the University of Dayton School of Law.
Cori did her undergraduate work at the University of Cincinnati, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree, with academic honors, in 2003. While at the University of Cincinnati, Cori served as captain of the school's mock trial team, where she won both an All-American Witness Award and an All-American Attorney Award, and participated in the All-American Honors Trial. Cori also served as president of the Political Science Student Association, and Vice President of the Pi Sigma Alpha honor society. In addition, Cori served as a mentor for the Glad House, an organization dedicated to helping families break the inner-generational cycle of drug and alcohol abuse.
Cori graduated from the University of Dayton School of Law, cum laude, in 2006. While at the University of Dayton, she was the overall winner of the Honorable Walter H. Rice Moot Court Competition, and also won the Best Oralist Award for the competition. She represented the University of Dayton as a member of the International Moot Court Team, and coached the Evidence Moot Court Team. Cori was also a member of the Dayton Law Review, where she participated as a staff writer. Additionally, Cori was involved in the Criminal Law Clinic, acted as a teaching assistance for Legal Writing III, and was a member of the St. Thomas More Society and the Sports & Entertainment Law Society. She received CALI awards for Excellence recognizing her academic achievement in a variety of subjects, including: Torts, Legislation, Real Property, Constitutional Law, and Evidence for the Civil Litigator.
