Andy joined Faruki Ireland & Cox P.L.L. as an associate in 2003. His practice ranges from quasi-contractual disputes to complex business torts and false advertising Lanham Act cases. Prior to joining FI&C, Andy clerked for the Honorable David Welch from the Monroe County Circuit Court in Bloomington, Indiana, where he gained extensive experience in courtroom proceedings, including pre-trial conferences, jury trials, sentencing hearings, and felony proceedings.
In 2005, Andy was selected to participate in the firm's externship program with the Montgomery County Public Defender's Office, where he participated in preliminary hearings, sentencing hearings, criminal docket sessions, suppression hearings, status conferences, and scheduling conferences. Andy also tried two felony jury trials: (1) a felonious assault and aggravated robbery case, which resulted in a hung verdict, and (2) a domestic violence and abduction case, which resulted in a split verdict.
Andy is a 2000 honors graduate of Wabash College and a 2003 graduate of Indiana University School of Law -- Bloomington, where he served as Executive Editor of the Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies, was a member of the trial team, and was named "Top Oralist" in the Sherman Minton Moot Court Competition. Prior to attending law school, Andy worked in Washington, D.C. at the law firms of Jones Day Reavis & Pogue, and Steptoe & Johnson, and as an intern at the White House.
Andy is admitted to practice in the state of Ohio, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He is a national member of The Order of Barristers and is also an active member of the Carl D. Kessler Inn of Court, the Dayton Young Professionals Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Dayton, Ohio, Federal, and American Bar Associations. Andy was born in Portland, Indiana, and graduated from Jay County High School in 1996.
