A former summer clerk of the firm, Kelly joined FI&C full time in September 2009 and has participated in various aspects of the firm's litigation practice, including class action defense, appellate briefing, contract disputes, malpractice defense, construction matters, and other areas of business litigation.
Kelly is a member of the Carl D. Kessler Inn of Court and is also a member of the American, Ohio, and Dayton Bar Associations. Additionally, Kelly is also a member of the Dayton Bar Association's Leadership Development Program, Federal Practice Committee, and Young Lawyers Division. Kelly is licensed to practice law before the Supreme Court of Ohio, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
Kelly has also authored two articles while with the firm: Kelly wrote "One Click Away from an Ethics Violation: Safe Social Networking for Lawyers," which was published in the March 2011 edition of the American Bar Association's The Young Lawyer (Vol. 15, Iss. 5). Also, Jeff Cox and Kelly paired up to write "Setting expectations: Social networking at work," which was published in the July/August 2011 edition of the Ohio State Bar Association's member magazine, the Ohio Lawyer (Vol. 25, No. 4).
At Florida State University College of Law, Kelly received the highest ranking award in Scientific Evidence. During law school, Kelly worked as a legal intern at law firms in both Ohio and Florida.
As an undergraduate at Tiffin University, Kelly majored in Forensic Psychology. She also played for the Golf Team and threw javelin for the Track and Field Team, was President of the NCAA Student Athlete Advisory Commission, and was recognized as a NAIA Scholar Athlete. Kelly also presented research papers at regional and national conferences.
Kelly grew up in Maria Stein, Ohio, where she graduated from Marion Local High School in 2002.
