After serving as a summer clerk for the firm in 2008, Jade joined FI&C as a full-time associate in September 2009. Licensed to practice law in Ohio and before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, she has worked on cases pending in both federal and state courts and before the American Arbitration Association. Her practice consists of various facets of commercial litigation, including disputes involving breach of contract, fraud, and wrongful termination.
A 2009 graduate of the University of Dayton School of Law ("UDSL"), Jade served as a Comment Editor for UDSL's Law Review. She became a Teaching Assistant for introductory legal writing courses after earning the highest grade in her persuasive legal writing class. Actively involved in moot court, she argued before United States District Judge Walter H. Rice and the Honorable James A. Brogan and Jeffrey E. Froelich during the final round of the Walter H. Rice Moot Court Competition. Jade was also a highly successful mock trial competitor and President of UDSL's Honor Council.
Jade's interest in legal advocacy began when she joined Miami University's nationally recognized Mock Trial Program. She competed in the National Tournament in 2005 and 2006, after Miami's victories at the Mideast Regional Tournament. In 2005, Jade was ranked as the top competitive attorney in her region. In 2006, she was a member of her region's champion squad and individually recognized with an Outstanding Attorney Award.
Strongly believing that competitive mock trial is a valuable experience to students of all ages and professional aspirations, Jade volunteers her time to advise the mock trial teams of UDSL and the Dayton Early College Academy. She is a member of the American, Ohio, and Dayton Bar Associations, as well as the Carl D. Kessler Inn of Court.
Jade was raised in Fairfield, Ohio, where she graduated from Fairfield High School in 2002.
