As a trial attorney, Marty focuses on complex commercial litigation. He handles securities cases, intellectual property litigation, class action defense, and business competition matters. Not all cases are resolved in court, and Marty has experience with many types of alternative dispute resolution, including mediations and arbitrations.

Marty served two separate terms as Law Clerk to two federal court judges in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana: the Honorable Theresa L. Springmann (Hammond) and the Honorable Christopher A. Nuechterlein (South Bend). His experience as a Law Clerk brings with it a keen understanding of courtroom procedures and trial tactics.

Actively engaged with the local bar, Marty is the President of the Carl D. Kessler Inn of Court, he is a Fellow in the Ohio State Bar Foundation, Class of 2008, and he is on the Dayton Bar Association CLE Liaison Committee. In law school, he served as Lead Articles Editor for the Journal of Law, Ethics, and Public Policy. He is also the President of the Notre Dame Alumni Club of Dayton.

Marty has worked for many years as a volunteer with local social service agencies, both in Dayton and in Indiana, assisting the homeless.

Marty is admitted to practice in Ohio and Indiana.
