Jeff has been trying business cases for more than 25 years. He has represented clients in federal and state courts throughout the United States. Increasingly, his trial practice focuses on competition, meaning that many of his cases involve the interaction among competitors and the cases relate to issues such as antitrust, distribution, false advertising, trademarks, trade secrets and intellectual property. These cases often involve restraining orders and preliminary injunctions, which he has also tried throughout the United States.

He has handled class actions involving products liability, securities and employment. He is currently defense liaison counsel for the defense in a multidistrict litigation action related to the recall of pet food products.

A native of Dayton, Jeff has been recognized each year since its inception as an Ohio Super Lawyer, a statewide recognition as a result of a survey conducted by Cincinnati magazine. He has been recognized annually as one of the Best of the Bar based on a survey conducted by the Dayton Business Journal. He is listed in Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business. He has written articles for publication, and is a frequent lecturer at continuing legal education programs on various subjects relating to commercial litigation. He is a member of the Board of Governors of the Antitrust Section of the Ohio State Bar Association and speaks frequently at Section seminars on antitrust and competitive issues.

Jeff has argued cases to the Sixth, Seventh and Ninth Circuit Courts of Appeals, as well as to the Ohio Supreme Court and Courts of Appeal throughout Ohio.

He has been very active in the local community as a Master of the Carl D. Kessler Inn of Court and a member of the Dayton Bar Association. He also served ten years as the Mayor of a local suburb, and he has been involved in numerous charitable and not-for-profit activities.
