DAYTON, OH —June 3, 2025 – Faruki PLL (Faruki) is pleased to welcome their new summer clerks, Arabella Loera, (who is a returning 2024 summer clerk, as part of the Faruki/CareSource Flyer Legal Pathways scholarship); and Macy Gates, who recently joined the firm for the summer 2025 term. Arabella will again work in the firm’s Dayton office, along with Macy. Each will bring distinctive views and experiences along with diverse academic and professional legal work experience.
Arabella is a rising 3L at the University of Dayton School of Law. She graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice Studies. During her 2L year, she was selected as Best Oralist of the 2024 Walter H. Rice Intramural Moot Court Competition. Additionally, she served as a Staff Writer for the University of Dayton Law Review, and she will join the editorial board as a Comment Editor for her 3L year. Arabella will also assume the roles of Chief Justice of the Moot Court Board, President of the Black Law Students Association, and President of the Federal Bar Association Student Executive Committee.

Macy also joins Faruki from the University of Dayton School of Law. She graduated from Butler University with a Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Communication. After her 1L year, she interned with the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office. At the University of Dayton, Macy serves as an Honor Council representative and recently completed her term as a Staff Writer for the University of Dayton Law Review. She will assume the roles of Business Manager and PR & Media Editor for the Law Review this summer as she enters her 3L year.
