The Power 50 award highlights the top female business leaders in Dayton from a variety of industries who have made a large impact on the Miami Valley. The Dayton Business Journal hopes that the list will encourage more women to make a difference in their community.
Erin has been repeatedly recognized by Benchmark Litigation, Ohio Super Lawyers, and as one of America's Top 100 High Stakes Litigators. Specifically, she has been recognized by Super Lawyers as one of the Top 100 in Ohio, Top 50 in Cincinnati, and Top 25 Women in Cincinnati. Erin has also been recognized for the past several years by Benchmark Litigation as one of the Top 250 Women in Litigation. In 2022 and 2023, she was recognized as the Healthcare Lawyers Recommended Attorney for Ohio; and the Premier Health Care Lawyer for Dayton – a recognition given to just one health care lawyer per city. She was also recognized by BTI Consulting as a Client Service All Star – a recognition given to less than 500 lawyers nationally. Earlier this year, Erin received the Florence E. Allen Award for Outstanding Achievement by the Dayton Chapter of the Federal Bar Association; the award recognizes women attorneys who demonstrate excellence in the legal profession and a strong commitment to public or community service.
Erin is an active member of several local, regional, and national bar associations; holding various leadership positions, including (fmr.) President of the Ohio Women's Bar Association, and (fmr.) President of the Dayton Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Erin is also an Executive Editor of the ABA's Litigation Journal; and she is a Fellow of the Ohio State Bar Foundation and American Bar Foundation.
Erin regularly defends class action litigation, represents and advises various clients in the health care industry, litigates employment disputes, and leads Faruki's media and communications practice, which includes First Amendment issues, online and traditional defamation, public records, trademark, copyright, trade secrets, open courts, branding, advertising law, social media, and certain privacy issues. Erin has trial experience in federal and state courts across the country, including first-chair jury trial experience. She has argued before various appellate courts, including the Supreme Court of Ohio.
