Faruki PLL Attorneys Recognized for 2020 Ohio Super Lawyers

DAYTON, OH December 5, 2019 Several Faruki PLL attorneys have been recognized for their notable talents in law in the 2020 edition of Ohio Super Lawyers magazine. D. Jeffrey Ireland was again awarded the title and has been named to the "Top 100 in Ohio" and "Top 5 in Cincinnati." Partners Jeff Cox and Erin Rhinehart were also named Ohio Super Lawyers for 2020. Christopher Hollon was named a 2020 Ohio Rising Star.

His practice focuses on employment, trade secrets, competitive issues, advertising and class actions. Jeff was recognized as an America's Top 100 High Stakes Litigators by America's Top 100 LLC for 2020, He is listed in the 2020 edition of Best Lawyers of America, and is also Best Lawyers' Lawyer of the Year. Jeff is on the Board of Advisors at the University of Dayton School of Law and was previously awarded The University of Dayton School of Law's Distinguished Alumni Award for his service to the community and the profession. Jeff is the firm's managing partner.

Jeff Cox represents clients in a wide array of matters, including contract and business torts, technology, privacy and data security, products liability cases, class actions, and professional malpractice claims. He is a Senior Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America and a Life Fellow of the Federal Bar Association, and the American Bar. Jeff has been recognized as an Ohio Super Lawyer every year of the selection, has been recognized in Benchmark Litigation as a local litigation star in commercial litigation, in The Best Lawyers in America and in America's Top 100 High Stakes Litigators. Jeff has handled complex litigation matters in courts across the United States, in matters before the American Arbitration Association, and in investigations by the Federal Trade Commission, the Department of Justice and other federal agencies, and various state Attorneys General. Jeff has practiced before numerous federal circuit courts of appeals and is a member of the bar of the Supreme Court of the United States. Jeff serves on the FBA's Federal Litigation Section Board of Directors, and also serves on the FBA's national Government Relations Committee.

Erin Rhinehart is an experienced trial lawyer with first chair jury trial experience. Her commercial litigation practice includes class action defense, extensive health care industry practice, media and communications experience, environmental litigation, and resolution of contract disputes. This year Erin was selected as a Premier Health Care Lawyer ("PHCL"), an honor bestowed upon one lawyer per city, selected and recommended by PHCL. In 2018 and 2019, Erin was named as one of Dayton Business Journal's Power 50 recipients, which identifies Dayton's most influential business women, and she was recognized as an America's Top 100 High Stakes Litigators by America's Top 100 LLC for 2020. Erin is currently an Executive Editor for the American Bar Association's Section of Litigation flagship publication, Litigation Journal, and the immediate past President of the Dayton Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Erin was included among Benchmark Litigation's 40 & Under Hot List for 2019, and has also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Dayton School of Law, teaching various trial practice courses to second and third year law students.

Christopher Hollon focuses his practice on complex business litigation and tort actions in federal and state court. As an experienced litigator, Chris represents clients facing a variety of commercial disputes, including breach of contract, economic torts, employment matters, and environmental actions. He also maintains a robust regulatory practice before the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio where he litigates electric rate cases. In addition, Chris advises clients on a range of media issues, including access to public records and court proceedings and First Amendment disputes. He currently serves as chair of the Media Law Committee of the Ohio State Bar Association, as co-chair of the Young Lawyers Section of the Dayton Bar Association, and as an officer of the Dayton Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Prior to joining Faruki PLL, Chris served as a law clerk for Judge John Holschuh, Sr. of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and Judge Patrick Fischer of the Ohio Court of Appeals.
