DAYTON, OH — June 3, 2026 – Jeff Cox was installed on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, as the 125th President of the Dayton Bar Association. Jeff is a partner at Faruki PLL, a complex business litigation boutique, with offices in Dayton and Cincinnati, Ohio. Jeff is the third partner of the firm to lead the local Bar, following Charlie Faruki (1995-96) and Jeff Ireland (2011-12). "I am honored to serve our profession and our community as Dayton Bar President," said Cox.
Jeff is a member of the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States, all federal and state courts throughout Ohio, and has practiced in courts throughout the United States; his practice covers a wide range of business-centered litigation matters. A Senior Fellow of Litigation Counsel of America, Jeff has continually been recognized by his peers as one of Ohio's leading attorneys, as catalogued by Super Lawyers ("Top 100" in Ohio; "Top 50" in Cincinnati); Benchmark Litigation ("Litigation Star"); and in multiple categories in Best Lawyers in America (including "Lawyer of the Year" recognitions).
Jeff is a Past President of the Dayton Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and served on the FBA's national Government Relations Committee; he also served several years as Editor of the FBA's award-winning litigation newsletter, SideBAR. A past president of both the Dayton Lawyers Club and the Carl Kessler Inn of Court, Jeff also serves as Chair of Miami Valley Public Media, Inc., the parent of WYSO Public Radio, and is a former Chair of the Board of Chaminade Julienne Catholic High School. Prior to law school, Jeff worked on Capitol Hill for two U.S. Senators and later as a lobbyist for the National Society of Professional Engineers. Jeff holds a B.A. in Diplomacy & Foreign Affairs from Miami University, and a J.D. from The University of Dayton, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review.
