Erin Rhinehart and Stephen Weigand successfully negotiated the resolution of a Lanham Act and unfair competition action for a client. The successful resolution was the result of both an early and aggressive response to the allegations, and the strategic use of judicial mediation in the Southern District of Ohio.

Jeff Cox was elected to serve on the Federal Bar Association's Government Relations Committee, a 20-person standing committee overseeing the FBA's interests on Capitol Hill. Jeff was also appointed as a member of the FBA's Professional Ethics Committee, and he serves on the Board of Directors for the FBA's Federal Litigation Section.

Michael Mayer and Christopher Hollon presented at a CLE course for the Dayton Bar Association.  On December 13, Michael and Chris made presentations at the Dayton Bar Association's Continuing Legal Education program "Federal Practice Update."  Michael provided an overview of Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 30(b)(6).  He also discussed taking and defending corporate representative depositions in federal cases, including how Rule 30(b)(6) has been impacted by the December 2015 amendments to the federal rules.  Chris spoke about changes to pleading standards.  He revisited the Iqbal and Twombly decisions that are now nearly ten years old, and discussed other cases that have transformed the pleading standards in federal courts today.

Jennifer Dollard and Jason Palmer successfully challenged the improper use of a client's name and trademarks in an unauthorized domain name and website. An arbitration panel ordered that the domain name be transferred to Faruki's client in accordance with The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).

Jason Palmer has been accepted into Class XII of C-Change, a Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber YP Program. C-Change is a leadership development program for emerging leaders in Cincinnati.  Through the program, participants lead community projects that positively impact the Cincinnati region.
